How to install the Android APK successfully
Use this guide if your phone asks for permission to install the POCademy app from your browser, file manager, or downloads folder.
Your phone may ask you to allow Chrome or Files to install this app.
Install POCademy on Android
The wording may differ slightly depending on whether you use Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Tecno, Itel, Honor, or another Android phone.
Download the APK
Tap the download button on the POCademy website and wait for the file to finish downloading.
- Open your browser downloads.
- Tap pocademy-matric-success.apk.
- If your phone warns you, continue only if the file came from the official POCademy website.
Allow installation from your browser
Most Android phones require permission before a browser or file manager can install an APK.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Apps or Security & privacy.
- Open Special app access or More security settings.
- Tap Install unknown apps.
- Select the app you used to download the APK, such as Chrome, Files, Samsung Internet, or Edge.
- Turn on Allow from this source.
Install the app
After allowing installation permission, return to the downloaded APK and install it.
- Open Downloads or Files.
- Tap pocademy-matric-success.apk.
- Tap Install.
- Tap Open after installation.
- Log in or sign up with your POCademy learner account.
Turn the permission off again
For safety, switch off unknown-app installation permission after POCademy is installed.
- Go back to Settings.
- Open Install unknown apps.
- Select the browser or file manager you enabled.
- Turn off Allow from this source.
Google Play Protect warning
Some phones may show a Play Protect warning because the APK is being installed directly from the POCademy website while Google Play publication is being finalised.
- If you see More details, tap it and then choose Install anyway if available.
- If there is no install option, open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile icon.
- Open Play Protect.
- Tap the settings gear.
- Temporarily turn off Scan apps with Play Protect.
- Install POCademy, then turn Play Protect back on.
Return here and turn Play Protect back on.
Huawei / devices without Google Play
Huawei devices that do not include Google Play can still install the APK from the browser or file manager. You may not see the Play Protect steps, but you may still need to allow unknown-app installation from your browser or file manager.
Still struggling?
Try downloading again using Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet, or your phone’s default browser. Make sure your storage is not full and that you have a stable internet connection.
